Football awards bring success
We’ve added to our growing trophy cabinet with another top accolade, this time at the prestigious Northwest Football Awards (NWFA) which took place on Monday.
Our team collected the award for Northwest Business Services to Football, which recognised our ongoing contribution to professional football; in particular, the strategies and projects we undertake to help keep the likes of Everton, Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers at the top of their digital game.
Having worked with these clubs – along with others outside of the region – for several years, either as their retained digital agency or technology partner, we’ve established a strong sporting heritage that has helped us to attract further new clients in the sector.
Earlier this year, we completely redeveloped the Professional Footballers’ Association’s digital strategy and website to meet the needs of its 4,000 playing members and 25,000 ex-professionals. Meanwhile, we’ve also been appointed by marketing group Sela Sports to develop new digital platforms for clubs in the Saudi Professional League.
The NWFA took place at a great ceremony in Manchester, where the trophy was presented to the agency by former Southampton and West Ham United forward and current Sky Sports pundit Ian Dowie.
Next up on the circuit is the MiAwards 2012, which takes place in Manchester tonight. We have two nominations at the event with Ben Hatton shortlisted for Managing Director of the Year and our already award-winning Stand Together work for Everton in the running for Best Social Media Strategy.
