Birmingham City FC
Making great use of our extensive experience of working with some of the biggest names in football, we helped The Blues to deliver two fun and interactive new websites; one to appeal to supporters under nine and the other for those between nine and 16.
The sites use a variety of content to encourage junior fans to register, including interactive games, animations, photographs, polls, personalised birthday messages, blogs from the club’s mascot Beau, fun competitions, user-submitted content and embedded videos, with new content and initiatives published regularly.
We also delivered original designs for each site, appealing to the respective age groups, while in-house staff were given access to a user-friendly content management system.
As a result of this, key successes included:
- 133% increase in average browsing time
- 33% year-on-year increase in page views
- 25% year-on-year increase in registrations
By catering for younger fans with specific sites, the club has helped to establish new relationships with this important audience, generating an overwhelmingly positive response from younger fans and complementing the club’s wider approach to online marketing.
