Home to some of the Europe’s biggest sporting, leisure and entertainment events, the MEN Arena required something special from its new online platform. It needed to help to raise the profile of the venue, form the basis of new advertising opportunities, increase data capture capabilities and improve the levels of traffic regularly using the site.
We responded by expanding the content being provided online, as well as adding great new features - including an editorial section with details of featured artists, reviews, social media, iTunes downloads, targeted email marketing newsletters and banner ad campaigns to build on the MEN customer database and boost ticket sales.
The platform also includes sections dedicated to corporate hospitality, a guide to the city, sponsorship and automatic feed updates. In addition, there is space for advertising space on every page from trusted third-parties and affiliate advertising opportunities for promoting accommodation and generating commission for the Arena. Its key successes to date are:
- 80% of tickets sold for shows at the MEN Arena are now purchased online
- An increase of 250,000 visitors a month and over 900,000 page views
- 61% year-on-year increase in unique site visitors
- Becoming the world’s busiest arena for five consecutive years, selling more tickets annually than Madison Square Garden
