Case study

Brief

The magazine's publisher, Newhall Publications, sought to develop a vibrant and engaging new website which would offer something different to a growing membership of over 300,000 readers and create new opportunities for reaching new subscribers.

Results

Rippleffect worked closely with the staff at Candis to create a website which appeals to the readership of the magazine and reflects its good work. Rather than just being an extension of the magazine, the site was developed to be effective and compelling in its own right by using features such as podcasts, forums, online competitions and polls to add a new dimension to what is a very trusted brand.

Members can access a broad mix of content, including puzzles, giveaways and even an online shopping club which gives cashback on purchases from 900 retailers. Importantly, to grow the membership of the magazine the site allows users to take out a range of subscriptions online and includes digital issues and exclusive features as an incentive to join, with dedicated sections for advertisers and the publication's charitable work reaching out to new partners and showcasing the importance of the money raised with each issue.
