Following a £10 million revamp of the facilities, the resort required a website which effectively promoted the business to a varied international clientele and highlighted all of the services available.
Results
Rippleffect developed an accessible website that integrates the various strands of the business whilst allowing the user to quickly navigate through the services on offer. The site uses stylish, professional design inline with the Formby Hall brand, to reflect the nature of the audience, with clear distinctions between the golfing, leisure and corporate facilities on offer.
Visitors can download brochures, enquire online as to the availability of certain facilities and, with the integration of a third party system, book and reserve hotel rooms online. Rippleffect also brought unique and innovative ideas to the site including a ‘fantasy golf league' and online video footage.
Rippleffect additionally undertook a search engine optimisation campaign, allowing Formby Hall to markedly increase the prominence of its brand and further its commercial potential in a competitive marketplace; this achieved number one rankings in Google UK for terms including ‘Golf Resort Formby' and ‘Wedding Packages Southport'.
The resort now has a firm foundation to promote the resort and increase its income, particularly from the non-traditional corporate, hotel and event sides of the business. The venue now reaches over 1,600 people every month through the email newsletter; over a three month period, the numbers visiting the site increased by 50%, and the number of pages viewed increased by over 37%.
