Brief
The scheme, managed by Stockport Council and several key regional and national government stakeholders, needed a highly accessible website which would inform citizens about the help available to them.
Results
Following a competitive tender process, Rippleffect worked in close partnership with the key partners to create a very user-friendly, appealing website in tune with the project and its diverse audience. To help all users find their way around the site, it supports both scaleable fonts and access keys, and is accessible across a range of browsers and platforms.
Users can access an extensive news archive and an online ‘knowledge hub', which contains a raft of downloadable documentation and important information for local neighbourhoods. Visitors can also sign up to an RSS feed and have the latest news stories appear as and when they are published.
The site features an extensive, searchable events calendar too, where citizens can find out about courses in their area and register online. For those who want to find out more about how they can make a difference, there is the additional option of registering with the site for updates via post, email or SMS, with the entire site fully managed by staff through a powerful and versatile content management system specifically constructed for the purpose.
